Re : ADAudit Plus Using External Database

I'd raise a 'Feature Request' to our development team for external DB support, however we might have to consider the fact that it requires a major change in the framework. In a security stand point, I'd recommend a full blown MSSQL server so you could make sure that data is safely stored.

Below is the standard procedure for Pgsql backup and restore process,

1. Open command prompt (Run as Administrator)
2. Navigate to <Install folder>\ADAudit Plus\bin
3. Execute backupDB.bat (This would take a complete backup of database along with the configuration)
4. You would then see a folder within <Install folder> called "Back up" where all the relevant files are stored
5. The contents are, compressed .zip file with default data & configuration along with 'Event data' folder with event tables
6. This content can be used to restore the database in case of situations by executing restoreDB.bat <backup files_location> (We recommend you to save backup files under <install folder>\ADAudit Plus\backup\ in new instance)

Hope it helps.

Regards,
Bruce,
ADAudit Plus Team
